20th Street Cottage Interior Design – Fairy Godmother Friday

Exciting things have been happening at the 20th Street Cottage, here in Downtown Bakersfield!

After having the 20th Street Cottage Community Room redesigned by the one and only Jamie Urner of Jamie Urner Interior Designs, we realized that a much needed project had landed upon our fairy wings… The cottage needed a complete facelift!!

Jamie Urner is no stranger to the Fairy Godmother family, after Fairy Godmother Colleen produced her sister’s wedding.

When it came time to do some revamping at the cottage, we knew just who to call.

Once the redesign of the Community Room had concluded, we had an itch we just couldn’t scratch… We quickly had Jamie dive into design options for the hallway and kitchen.

Cinderella’s glass slipper and fairy blue accents added subtle hints to the kitchen, and you know that we are all about the details!

We were completely thrilled with the outcome!

We wanted a feel that combined our love of our namesake Cinderella, the class of brides before us like Jackie O., Lucille Ball and Grace Kelly, and then added finishing touches from the modern era. Jamie took all of this and created her own magic at the 20th Street Cottage!

When it came time to redesign our office, we let Jamie take the reigns. Taking productivity and elegance to create a functional workspace that would double as an elegant setting when the Fairies aren’t hard at work.

Jamie absolutely nailed it! Adding in light touches of our beloved “fairy blue” bringing our brand to life in our office, mirrored shelving to showcase our great works, and a new table giving us the chance to gather around the table… literally!

A complete facelift wouldn’t be complete without every room… All that we had left was the loo!

Jamie added some fur, vintage mirrors and new lighting to bring the room to its full potential!

Collaboration of Creative Partners – Fairy Godmother Friday

As we get ready for our March Collaboration of Creative Partners luncheon, we wanted to share about our previous two!

Fairy Godmothers Colleen and Cassandra took a “fairy field trip” one day, and as many of you may know, some of our best ideas come from long car rides!

This “Fairy Field Trip” was actually a very special event! It was an exclusive, invitation-only conference put on by Stacie Francombe. Another invitee was none other than the famous Colin Cowie, Colin is best known for celebrity weddings and events. In one of Colin’s speeches, he said that our vendors are much more than the word leads us to believe, and that they are truly “Creative Partners!”

Just like that the “Collaboration of Creative Partners” luncheons were born.

Wedding Planner Magazine November 2016 Fairy Godmother Collaboration of Creative Partners

We have even written an article on the “Collaboration of Creative Partners” that was featured in Volume 6/Issue 6 of Wedding Planner Magazine!

Networking is vital in this industry, and this is why we love our “Collaboration of Creative Partners” luncheons! Having so much talent in one space is the absolute best feeling, and we are so lucky to call each and every one of these vendors, “friendors!”

The “Collaboration of Creative Partners” luncheons allow for everyone to mingle and interact outside of an event or wedding, it gives us time to get personal and learn more about each other!

When business professionals come together and not only share the same air, but have casual conversations and are able to open up out of their shells also bouncing ideas back and forth, brainstorming, and share past experiences to build new ones. Through sharing ideas and goals, magic is created. Whether it is for a new project, or maybe through that of styled or theme inspired shoots. Collaboration open doors to a whole new world of possibilities for vendors.

January’s luncheon was graciously hosted by The Nines Restaurant inside the Bakersfield Marriot in Downtown Bakersfield.

A Very Pandol Christmas – Magical Monday

What a year it has been!

As 2016 has come to an end, we are able to reminisce about our past events!

Weddings, events, socials, baby showers, open houses… We love it all!

One of our last events of 2016 was the annual Pandol Christmas Open House!

Oh, how we love working so closely with Carolyn to plan her magical events. Carolyn and Jack let our creative freedom soar and this event proved to be no different!

Snow globes, a sneaky elf, and Mistletone magic were the hits of this party!

Carolyn finds the best ways to decorate for any occasion! The Pandol home is always warm and inviting, and dressed to the nines!

As guests arrived, they were greeted with heavy hors d’oeuvres and sent to the bar to select their beverage of choice.

Of course, there was also the hot coco bar for guests where they could spike their hot coco or coffee with cinnamon whiskey, Irish crème or caramel liquor.

These add-in options were just the beginning! Crushed peppermint, cholocate chips and butterscotch flavored-gingerbread shaped gummies were additional festive holiday treats!

It wouldn’t be a Fairy Godmother event if there weren’t a few surprises… The first of the night was the TapSnap photobooth with the ability to put the Pandol’s guests inside a snow globe! Now how cool is that?!

Another surprise, even for the Pandols, was that the Bakersfield Blend Chorus, a chapter of the Sweet Adelines. The chorus shared the traditional holidays tunes that we all know and love.

Live music was provided by The Mistletones.

Our dear friend Therese and her band of jingly geniuses made sure that every melody and tune were just right for the guests, and filled the Pandol home with holiday cheer!

So many little details go into making an event a true success.

Stirrer rods, napkins and of course holiday packages disguised as tables were necessities for this event.

Delicious treats by GhilaDolci Bakery and festively decorated cookies by The Cookie Monger were a hit of the party! “Elf on the Shelf” cookies went right along with the theme of sneaky elves throughout the Pandol home.

Paradise Balloon Design has mastered the tricks of the trade, and even got a few elves in on the fun!

Not only do these balloons resemble that of snow globes, but they also had multicolored changing lights inside! Now that’s cool!

Paper products created by Matinae Design Studio, and oh how we loved them!

Mischievous elf cutouts, naughty and nice lists, and the most perfect invitation were the best fit for this event!

As always, it is an absolute pleasure to be your Fairy Godmothers (and Godfather) Carolyn.

This party, just as all the rest, was a complete dream event and we are so glad that you, and your guests, enjoyed it!
