Congratulations! You’re Engaged, Now What…? – Magical Monday

“Congratulations! You’re Engaged, Now What…?”

Wedding planning can be hard and stressful, but it doesn’t have to be!

All of us here at Fairy Godmother believe that every couple deserves to have a magical experience while planning their big day, so we have created this guide to help keep you on track.

We are still about 6 months away from your magical event, and that means it’s time to officially lock down your rental items!

Rental items is more than just tables and chairs, it includes your dishes, flatware, and even centerpieces!

It’s crucial to have these things in your mind, maybe on a running list, so that you can ensure your event is just as you have always dreamed.

Most importantly, you want to be sure that you have enough of everything for your guests, you wouldn’t want anyone to have to stand during your ceremony because you didn’t have enough chairs, or if someone had to use plastic utensils while everyone else used the real deal.

These are just the little things that us Fairies all think about!

According to Bridal Guide, you should order at least three to four dishes, glassware, stemware, and flatware per guest! Now, if you’ve never planned a wedding before, you may not have ever considered those numbers! When it comes to chairs, it is advised to order at least ten extra per location. This is in the event that any are damaged, and of course, if there are any extra guests!

When it comes to tables and chairs, many people forget to order the extras for all the fun stuff!

For example, your guestbook table, your welcome table, your cake table, maybe a sweets table, or even an “in memoriam” table!

The last thing we want anyone to do is to scramble last minute having to ask their Uncle Bob to bring a huge table in right before ceremony.

Map out your ideal wedding, it’s 2017… All dreams are possible!

The Black Tux Groom’s Guide – Wedding Wednesday

Okay, grooms. You did it, you popped “THAT” question! Now it’s time to get to work.

Our friends at The Black Tux have put together a guide for wedding planning, just for grooms!

This guide includes all the “do’s” and “don’ts” of groom’s wedding etiquette.

Well, we say “etiquette,” The Black Tux refers to the levels of the guide as “party foundations!”

It is 2017, it’s time for the gentleman to do more than pick their favorite cake flavor…

Leaving all the work to mothers and brides-to-be is just uncalled for!

Let’s dive in!

As we begin, we know that the groom will be an active part in two pieces of wedding planning… #1. The proposal and #2. The vows.

Lets beef it up a bit and add in a few more helpful ways for the groom to save his future spouse from a true headache!

Have a valid opinion! Let your voice be heard and share your ideas in your appointments, being indecisive doesn’t help your partner make a choice any easier.

Suggest hiring a wedding planner to help keep your plans running smoothly, Fairy Godmother would LOVE to help plan your day!

Next up, bridal party!

How to choose your mates doesn’t have to be the most difficult part of wedding planning, we promise.

Brothers, soon-to-be brothers, closest friends, and ultimately it boils down to who could you trust with your final pre-wedding fiesta, or better yet, the rings!

Your magical day has finally arrived! All of your planning has come to an end, and you are going to finally be able to enjoy your big day.

There will be a lot to do on your big day, but with the help of your planner it will go without a hitch!

Contact Fairy Godmother today to start planning your magical day, and let the co-planning begin!

Walker Lewis Rents – Fairy Godmother Friendors

“Friendship is when people know all about you, and like you anyways.”

This week we are highlighting our “friendor” Mark from Walker Lewis Rents!

When you have a “friendor” who is as passionate about the dream as you are, it opens the door to endless possibilities!

This is just what Mark is to us, an amazing “friendor” and companion through the endless possibilities.

Mark is not only a successful business man, he’s also a huge family man!

While being a spouse, a father, and a business man is no simple task… Mark handles it beautifully like it was a cake walk!

Here Mark is with his wife and daughter at a beautiful Fairy Godmother wedding where Walker-Lewis provided the rentals… Talk about fun!

Fairy Godmother Colleen says “Mark has been with Fairy Godmother since our beginning. He has stood by us and all of our crazy ways, and never bats an eyelash at any of our ideas, no matter how wild they may be. Mark is always quick to respond when we have an “emergency” or just when we may have a last minute need. He is a great mentor and friend.                         He is the type of friend who is the first one to show up, and the last one to leave.”

Fairy Godmother Cassandra has some of the best brainstorming sessions with Mark. She says, “Being a creative designer with a mind that always wants to push boundaries, it helps to have a partner and friendor like Mark, owner of Walker Lewis. Sometimes our conversations start off with me talking in circles then Mark looks at me like I’ve lost it, pauses and presents an idea that brings everything to life in a realistic attainable perspective, insert me ending with a *happy dance* Never once does he answer with “no, you’re crazy.”   The fact that Mark takes the time to understand and collaborate on the magic is something I can’t thank him and his staff for enough.”

“Fairy BIG” thanks to Mark and his Walker-Lewis team for making all of our events possible.

There is no way we could do it without you!

Thank you from the bottom of our Fairy hearts, we appreciate all you do!
