As you may already know, or will soon find out, the Fairy Godmother family absolutely LOVES doing fun things.
After all, that is one of the reasons why we are in this “happy business!”
So, in normal Fairy fashion when we heard that California Wedding Day would be hosting their awards in Los Angeles, we knew we had to go!
A little about the awards…

The Fairies made a pitstop for the famous, “Fairy Fuel,” also known as Starbucks and we headed South.
All buckeled in for our Fairy Field Trip!
Arriving at the Vibiana was a fabulous experience!
We were greeted with open doors and valet, now that is a first impression that we can work with!
The Fairy Godmother squad when they arrived at the Vibiana. The ladies were dressed in Enchanted Bridal exclusives, Cassndra rocking her gown from Apricot Lane Bakersfield, and TJ was “Fino Fresh” thanks to Fino’s Menswear!
Upon entry, we were greeted by stewardess-inspired hosts and hostesses serving gourmet appetizers… octopus and hand-compressed watermelon, duck bill tacos, and loaded chicken sliders.
We were so grateful to share such an amazing experience with the “Best of 2017” crew, such a fun experience!
The Fairies are quick to make friends just about everywhere we go… It was no surprise that one of the first friends we made was a DJ!

After making our way outside, we were immersed into an outdoor elegance, complete with chivary chairs and overhead drapery.
Such a fun way to celebrate so many talented vendors from all over California!

Introductions were given by Thea Hargrove, publisher of California Wedding Day.
We not only got to enjoy amazing food and perfect weather, but talk about an experience!
With such an beautiful and warm atmosphere, there was a 100% chance of an amazing time!
Following the awards conclusion, we made our way to the after party… But not without congratulating one of our favorite event planners in the industry… Kristin Banta of Kristin Banta Events!

Back inside the Vibiana, the party had just begun!
If you haven’t already heard of the “Silent Disco” let us tell you just how fun it was!
In many places that have sound restrictions, like Los Angeles, the clients never wanted to end their party early… what better way to keep it going than with headphones!?!
We know it sounds a bit strange, but guests are given headphones and the party continues.
What’s even better, is to watch the crowd without headphones on!
You don’t hear anything, but you see everyone getting down on the dancefloor… it was so much fun!
At the CWD Best of 2017, they changed the game up!
There were three DJ’s up in front, each had their turntables a specific color to match the headphones. It was so fun to see people change their music selection to all participate in the “cha cha slide” and other fun dances.

Drinks were served in mix-matched glassware that gave the evening even more personality.
The specialty cocktails were a total hit all night long!
Fun drinks in specialty glassware was just one of the hits of the evening!
We love new experiences, and this was just so fun! Not to mention in addition to our friend Kristin winning “Best of 2017” for Event Planning… Our very own friendor, Patrick Ang, won best videographer!
