To celebrate Mother’s Day, the Fairy Godmother team wants to share with you what makes their own mothers special!
Colleen-
If only I had one more day with my Mom, she passed away due to heart failure and I miss her every day, but miss her most on Mother’s Day.
She was fun, funny, didn’t know a single stranger, she would talk to anyone, people were drawn to her. She was wonderful with kids, an excellent cook, and was always there for us. She stayed home and took care of 4 girls, my Father, 2 dogs, 1 cat, fish, rabbits and all of our friends. Our house was the house to be because “Mrs. Long” would make sure everyone was fed and she would welcome all of them with open arms, usually calling everyone “honey”.
She loved to shop, get her nails and her hair done, and she loved to dress up.
She was my first mentor when it came to how to throw a party! She gave the best parties and always made you feel special. She was kind and generous.
She was the Hostess-with-the-Mostess, she would throw a party every chance she could, baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays, any excuse to plan an event she was in.
I like to think she is looking down on me and what we have been able to accomplish with Fairy Godmother, probably saying “oh honey please re-tie that napkin and move the chair a little to the left.
Love you and miss you Mom!
My Sis Lisa turned 2 I was 4 1/2 Look at her fancy 70’s dress.
At a friends wedding. She loved to dress up.
Brandon was about 2 in this photo.
I worked for Estee Lauder and had a huge territory, my Mom would travel with me so that I would not be away from Brandon very long, I feel so lucky I had this special time with her.
This was taken at the San Bernardino Mission.
Love this photo of her. She also loved to change her hair color tehe…..

My Sister, Mom and I
Cassandra-
My mom is someone I can count on without fail. She’s the most selfless person I know. Over the course of my life she has evolved from a story teller, lullaby singer, mentor, therapist, cheerleader, body guard to a best friend. From our sing along movie nights, 80’s car soundtracks, love of almost all things pickled to accidentally talking until we’re deliriously tired. Thank you for being you. I’m proud to be your daughter, Mommy Cat!

Marissa-
My moms name is Gina Blankenship and it’s difficult for me to describe her because she honestly blows me away. She has taught me what it means to be a strong, intelligent woman. I admire the way she carries and conducts herself, while meeting every situation she encounters with grace and clarity. She is one of the hardest workers I know and her success is a direct result of that. She treats others with kindness and is diligent in her relationships. She has always encouraged me to be independent, to be tough, to push myself, and to not be afraid to go after what I want. She is a beautiful force to be reckoned with and if I could one day be considered to be anything like her it will truly be an honor.
A beautiful photo op in Tahoe!

Out of all the things I could say about my mother, I will start by saying “My mom isn’t like your normal mom, she’s a cool mom.” What makes my mom special is, well, everything! My mother cares more about others than she does herself, making her one of the most selfless people I know. She works tirelessly not only only as a mom, but as a dedicated teacher and a friend to all who know her. Her ability to brighten a room is timeless, I may just credit her for my hilarious sense of humor (as pictured below).
Circa Easter 1994… Talk about 90’s, I was rocking a baby mullet (bullet) and some serious baby fat!
My mom LOVES concerts, this was at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Vegas.
Road trips require selfies to make other siblings a little jealous.
Happy Mother’s Day to ALL the Mamas!
