On March 18th, 2016 the Fairy Godmother team had the honor of being a part of the Fairy Godmother Foundation Wedding.
Rachel and Robert were chosen this year. Their personal plans for a wedding had been put on hold many times due to their son Isaac’s illness. Isaac has an inoperable cancerous brain tumor. He is now on a trial treatment and is quite the little fighter. We’re so glad Isaac got to be apart of this special day!
You’ve heard the story about the planning process, so here’s how their magical day went.
Many of Bakersfield’s finest vendors pulled together and donated their time and skill to celebrate Robert and Rachel joining together as one.
Our Fairy Godmother team had the pleasure of working with Walker Lewis, Make it Happen Events, Cherry Blossoms and The Westchester to create Rachel and Robert’s event design.
We intertwined all shades of blush pink, added a dash of sparkle and finished it off with a twinkling back drop for the head table.
Set up began Thursday and all came together Friday when the sun set, the lights dimmed and Freestyle Event Services set the mood with their uplighting.
Guest’s received a locally made bath bomb by Lucky and Lola at their seats. Then they were encouraged to take part in not one, but two photobooths courtesy of The Westchester and Juan Cue!
After enjoying delectable food from NV Catering, guests heard toasts from Rachel and Robert’s closest friends and family. Just about everyone was in tears when Robert’s brother, Rachel’s Mom, Dad, Sisters and son Issac gave their speeches congratulating Rachel, and Robert on their marriage! 
We are forever Team Issac and he can never have too many Fairy Godmothers. So the Fairy Godmother Foundation is able to continue to give weddings to amazing people just like Rachel and Robert that are on the journey called life, donate here make a pledge to the FGF today every little bit goes a long way.
