This last Friday, guests walked out of 2017 and stepped into a 1920’s style prohibition speakeasy New Year’s Eve party at the Dueces, also known as The Station.
Greeted by our host, this would be a New Year that everyone was sure to remember.
Sponsors filled the tables, guests supporting the great cause of the Fairy Godmother Foundation- to provide a wedding to a deserving couple in need at little to no cost to them.
The very first Fairy Godmother Foundation couple in 2014 was Kurt and Blanca Dudley, Kurt succumbed to his cancer battle in August 2015. Blanca was in attendance looking absolutely dashing!
Sweets were eloquently stacked, tiers and tiers to satisfy even the pickiest sweet tooth, build your own grilled cheese station by the one and only Chef Nate, it was the perfect scene for the most perfect evening out.
After all, prohibition was a time of indulgence… For those who cared to find it.
The ladies were checking everyone in, Mike the bartender was poppin’ the bubbly, heels and heads were all held high…
The night couldn’t have been a greater success!
But midway through the night, just after dinner… There was a murder!
Was it the inspector (“the nose”) with a candlestick? A champagne host with the typewriter?
Our guest in gold fringe was down, but who was to blame?
By looking at the photo, can you tell who got away with this murderous victory?
Our newscaster guest, Ms. Tequila Ravioli was sure to capture the evening at every available moment- with the swankiest technology, of course!
After the crime had been solved, guests went about celebrating the very best way they knew how!
Best costume and best at staying in character went to…
This wonderful tragedy wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing team of vendors who donate their time and services to this amazing cause…
