Happy “Magical Monday!”
Let us start by saying… “We’ve been featured!”
Now that this event has gone live, we are so excited to share it with you!
Emily and Sherod renewed their vows in celebration of their 20th wedding anniversary, how cool is that?!
To celebrate, attendees from near and far gathered at the historic Padre Hotel and were engulfed into a naturally ethereal event!
From centerpieces to flatware, everything was a cohesive addition to the styling and design, all of the elements were a representation of the natural flow and love that Emily and Sherod share.
Custom logs were cut and made into candle votives, flowy florals incorporating unique elements- like cotton- into the design, and glass shrouds with tiny twinkle lights to enchant guests.
Details, details, DETAILS!
Let us talk about a mother’s love for just a moment- there is truly nothing like it, and we think that it all begins with Grandma! Emily’s mother travels far and wide as often as possible to visit her children and grandchildren and made the journey to Bakersfield to be a part of this special day.
Can you say, “flawless?!”
Family means everything to Emily and Sherod, and we find these photos BURSTING with LOVE!
It only made perfect sense that Emily and Sherod, along with their three boys, stood in front of their closest friends and family and proclaimed their everlasting love for one another.
But that wasn’t the end, their boys also took a moment to share about the love they see, and the immeasurable love they are given!
A vow renewal wouldn’t be the same without just about everything having a sentimental meaning… Custom drink choices were the “Memzy Mojito” after Emily’s longtime nickname, the “Rod & Coke” after Sherod himself, a “Waite Russian” after the couple and their shared name, “Standard Poodle” after the family dog (a standard poodle), and after the city the couple shares a great love for- “Our Town Manhattan.”
Emily and Sherod are HUGE supporters of the Bakersfield community, from community projects to enjoying “First Friday” downtown, so it only made sense that their sweets table included the likings of Dewar’s Candy Shop and My Husband’s Nuts both of which were born and raised right here in Bakersfield!
Entertainment for the evening was provided by one of Emily and Sherod’s favorite local bands, The Lonely Avenue.
From the bottom of our “Fairy” big hearts, Emily and Sherod, thank you for trusting Fairy Godmother your beautiful day!
