This is what the mother-to-be had to say about her Fairy Godmother experience….

I have known Colleen for a few years through work we do in the community. With a baby shower around the corner and wanting an amazing day with “the girls” before the baby arrived, I knew Fairy Godmother was the right choice for planning the event due to my host and I both having very busy work schedules. However, it dawned on me that I didn’t completely know HOW Colleen and her team made magic happen everywhere they went. I was curious to find out the answer to the question, “What does a Fairy Godmother REALLY do anyway?”

Cassandra, who I also knew, was assigned to be my Fairy Godmother. The journey began with determining the theme. Easy! My husband and I both share a love for music so planning began for our Rock the Cradle baby shower. Next was the venue. Colleen suggested the Fairy Godmother Cottage. Done! Then came the colors. I love black and red, while my husband loves electric blue. I didn’t want to stray too far away from the traditional baby boy theme either. I thought to myself, “Poor Cassandra….is she going to be able to figure out my convoluted requests and make this work?”

We worked together through visits, emails and Pinterest to gather ideas and inspiration. Then I was directed to vendors who could help make our vision a reality but that were also still within the budget (they help you with that too). Cassandra worked directly with vendors for me when needed, handled payments, and even did most of the shopping for me.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Cassandra not only read my mind on things but that she executed everything better than I could have imagined. She was easy to work with, easy to get in contact with, and always offered to take care of details. In fact, just a few days before the event she was running around town picking things up, dropping things off, finalizing contracts with vendors, and putting the final touches on decor.

The Fairy Godmother team also helped avert a few crises at the last minute when the weather was much warmer than initially expected (my baby shower was an outdoor event) and we had a last minute change of plans with our photographer. They handled everything while I got to take my swollen, pregnant feet to the mall to finalize my outfit for the day and then show up to a baby shower with AMAZING food, decor, fun personalized games, and more.

I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to experience firsthand what Fairy Godmother Wedding & Event Planning is all about. I highly recommend them as event planners for any upcoming major event. For those with a busy schedule the full package is worth it! If you have the time to plan an event yourself, I still suggest using the Day-of-Coordination package or some of the other Add-ons they offer so you can focus on what really matters on the day of your event.
