We’re excited to start a new series here on our blog, once a month interviewing one of our favorite wedding friendors with a vendor spotlight post. Friendors is a word we use here at Fairy Godmother for the amazing business people we work with on a client’s special day! Today we’re chatting with one of our Preferred Photographers, Jonah and Lindsay Photography + Film.
We were lucky enough to meet Jonah and Lindsay during a wedding we both were hired at for a mutual client. We have worked with them at many events and always have the best time with these two. They are warm, kind, fun, and take excellent care of their clients. They’ll respond on the dot and their photography work is beautiful. Now on for the interview!
Q: What date did you start your business?
A: We got our business license in 2011!
Q: What business do you offer?
A: We offer a variety of photography and video work including content for businesses, portraits, graduates, families, headshots for professionals, and event coverage. We can do it all!
Q: Tell us a little about yourself?
A: One of the ways we communicate is with our eyes. This is universal. We love having the skills to capture the things we see, experience, enjoy, and love. We love sharing experiences with people who may never have the same opportunities. We feel a healthy responsibility to document and capture, and love having the gift to share.
Q: What is a new trend you see in your business?
A: People are genuinely enjoying each other and being together at weddings. It seems no one is taking these special moments for granted. Covid changed the world we live in, so events seem more special and there is this extra excitement in the air at weddings. It’s incredible! So much joy from everyone!
Q: What do you love most about your business?
A: THE PEOPLE. Being at our clients’ (and their families) biggest day is truly such an honor. We love it, and we love to have the privilege of getting to know, interact with them, and document all the moments – big and small – throughout the day! What a gift!

A: We would love to be known for how we love people <3
Q: Tell us about your experience working with Fairy Godmother?
A: Working with the Fairy Godmother team is such a treat. They are always so prepared, professional, present, and kind. They are incredibly valuable to us as photographers as we need help with details, wedding day flow, portraits, and making sure the ceremony and reception details are prepped and perfect for photos. I have also really appreciated they bring a team, dress in all black, are discreet, and are there to help with any snafus on a wedding day. They graciously handle it all behind the scenes, so our clients can enjoy their day!
Q: What advice would you give to future clients?
A: Enjoy every moment of the wedding process – and each other! Wedding planning is a part-time job, so remember to go on dates and put each other first always. Listen, share, and then have a blast! The rest falls into place!
