Located on 19th Street in Downtown Bakersfield, this bakery offers all deserts from wedding cakes to Italian-inspired pastries. In today’s vendor spotlight post we’re going to be interviewing Courtney the founder of GhilaDolci Bakery. We could go on all day about how amazing she is and the outstanding work she does, but we’ll let her tell you her story!
What day did you start your business?
We opened our brick-and-mortar location on May 28, 2019.
What inspired you to open your business?
I developed a love for baking at a young age while helping my Nonna and Mom prepare biscotti, cakes, and pies and always wanted to share that passion with others.
What do you love about being in the event industry?
I love that I’m able to connect with people on a personal level, whether that’s designing a dream wedding cake or providing pastries for a birthday party. We always strive to bring a little piece of joy through our desserts.
What is a new trend you see in your business?
This is not really a ‘new’ trend, but we definitely see a lot of lightly iced, naked cakes.
