Bakersfield Country Club is the area’s most exclusive golf club offering a limited number of full equity memberships and non-equity tennis and social memberships. It has a friendly tradition that started with its founding members. These were families with great pride and values born out of the farmlands and oil fields surrounding Bakersfield. These same values and friendliness have survived into second and third generation memberships since the inception of Bakersfield Country Club. There are many golf, tennis, and social events that keep the calendar busy year-round. Created for golfers and those serious about excellence, Bakersfield Country Club represents an approach to the sport deeply rooted in the classic traditions of golf.
Attention to detail is evident throughout the clubhouse. Special attention has been given to the needs of the sportsman. Both the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms include mahogany finished lockers, privacy showers, attendant areas, and well lighted grooming areas. There is plenty of room for the bridal party and groomsmen to get prepped for their big day. Close to both locker rooms is a complete exercise facility available to both men and women. The men’s locker room includes a steam room and sauna. Both locker rooms incorporate separate card rooms and lounge areas that offer sweeping views of the beautiful course and provides comfortable seating where members can relax with a beverage or just share in the company of fellow members and guests.
Dining at the clubhouse provides a variety of distinguished atmospheres. The Grill Room and Lounge have an impressive view of the golf course including a dramatic view of the Tehachapi Mountains. The formal dining room looks out over the San Joaquin Valley. This vista becomes spectacular as the sun sets and gives way to the glow of the city at night. Should one choose to dine outdoors, both the Grill Room and Dining Room have adjacent patios that heighten the scenic views offered by the clubhouse. With all the surrounding natural beauty, there are no bad photos taken at BCC.
Banquet facilities are available to the membership and can accommodate up to (250) people. Whether you are planning a formal dinner, wedding reception, buffet, luncheon, or picnic, the Club’s professional catering staff will make your event a tremendous success.
BCC is one of Fairy Godmother’s favorite Bakersfield venues for so many reasons. The General Manager, Erick Kuhn, is warm and kind and is one of the best General Managers we have ever worked with. He does everything in his power to make sure our clients have the perfect event possible. The Chef is amazing and the food is always incredible. There are countless wonderful items on the menu to choose from. This venue is full of history and charm, evoking memories of the past while providing today’s guests with a modern, up-scale experience. With so many beautiful places to photograph, this is an excellent venue choice for any wedding or special event. The staff is spectacular and consistently takes outstanding care of all our clients.
