We are often asked about various venues in town, so this is a fun and informative way to provide our clients and friends with some important details and information when you’re choosing where to hold your special event. The next spot on our list is the beautiful, historic Stockdale Country Club.
Stockdale Country Club, located at 7001 Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield, CA, is known for its beautiful old world charm. It is a warm, welcoming, and family-friendly club, yet prides itself on a long-standing tradition of excellence. After 10 years on the site of the historic Tevis Family estate, Stockdale Holding Company incorporated as Stockdale Golf and Country Club. If you read their website, they remind you that “it was a time when grace, charm, and excellence were the standard, not the exception.” SCC proudly states that charm still exists today. Susan Greer, the General Manager, has been with the club a very long time and knows all the ins and outs of the club. She works hard to take excellent care of her customers and clients. Chef Erik is there to make all your culinary dreams come true. No matter the event, you can trust that he and his team will serve up fantastic fare. Whether you’re looking forward to a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, anniversary, bridal or baby shower, holiday reception, or even corporate meetings, every event is treated with care and attention to detail.
These private banquets and events at Stockdale are available to Members and those sponsored by a Stockdale Member. If you are not a member, but have a family or friend who is, you can still have your event here – don’t worry, we’ll help you work out all the details.
We’ve all seen the homes, landscaping and architecture around Stockdale Country Club. It really is a beautiful property! Driving up to the clubhouse, taking in the iconic palm trees, immaculate golf course, and gorgeous, established homes all around, you’ll see there are no shortage of places to photograph. There is greenery everywhere and your photographer will likely be familiar with the area and know exactly how and when to shoot your event.
Speaking of the outside of the club…if you are opting for an outdoor event, you can comfortably host 500+ guests in a tent on the property. If you choose to have your reception or any part of your event inside, you can host 275 people, plus a dance floor. There is also a bar if you choose to use it.
