Customarily, the groom’s parents are in charge of hosting and planning this gathering. Modern times have thrown a twist on things and both sets of parents to the soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. co-host these lovely events.
Traditionally, a wedding rehearsal dinner is to be held the Friday before the wedding around 7 o’clock in the evening. According to The Knot, the rehearsal dinner is to relieve some of the pre-wedding tension that may arise, while never upstaging your big day!
Rehearsal dinners allow for everyone to mingle and join in on the fun to be had the next day. If you have groomsmen, bridesmaids, family or friends coming in from out of town rehearsal dinners give you the opportunity to visit and catch up before the wedding day.
