How I Got Started
Teaching has always been a part of my life and my first career choice, inspired by my mom, a teacher for over 35 years. After 10 enjoyable years as a preschool teacher and learning business skills from my uncle and aunt in Alabama, I pursued a new passion in 2018. I went back to school full-time, graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing. Now, I teach two days a week at a private Christian school as a teacher’s aide. Teaching has instilled in me the importance of being a team player, which is essential in any career. I feel blessed to be able to pursue both teaching and wedding planning.
My Style
My wedding planning style is romantic rustic chic, with deep, warm colors like cream, blush, rust, burgundy, and navy. These colors make the table settings and florals pop, and I love hanging lights that create a magical country night atmosphere.
Why I Love What I Do
Wedding planning has always been my dream. Since starting college in 2011, I knew it was my goal. Bringing couples’ dreams to life brings me great joy, especially through personal touches that tell their unique love stories. A favorite was a sports-themed cameo at the Sprague wedding entrance. Being a team player is crucial, and I’m grateful for my team’s support in creating magical days for our couples.
When I Am Not Planning Events
I love spending time with my family, listening to country music, traveling, and camping. Family means a lot to me, and their support is invaluable. I’ve attended around 100 country concerts, with Morgan Wallen and Jordan Davis among my favorites. I especially enjoy traveling to Orange Beach, Alabama, and Mexico.
