Her journey began after serving as Chairperson for the Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference, where she received encouragement from colleagues and event partners to pursue event planning. Inspired by this support, Colleen founded Fairy Godmother in 2010 to meet the demand for transforming chaotic events into magical experiences.

The name “Fairy Godmother” symbolizes the promise of creating special moments filled with excellence, romance, and a touch of magic.

Colleen Bauer, Founder of Fairy Godmother Events, hails from Bakersfield, CA. Inspired by her time as Chairperson of the Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference, she left a banking career to build the largest event company in the Central Valley, orchestrating over 75 weddings annually with a focus on creativity and professionalism.

Denise Ferdinand, Director of Talent at Fairy Godmother Events, began her journey in 2010 after a call from her longtime friend Colleen. With a no-nonsense style, she now oversees new team members.
