What happens if something goes wrong on the wedding day?
This is exactly why you hire a team with sixteen years of experience. We have a backup plan for everything — and we have the calm, practiced ability to execute Plan B so seamlessly that you will never know it existed. We carry full event documentation in cloud-based systems, which means our entire team can step in at any moment with complete access to your timeline, vendor contacts, and event details.
What does your planning process look like from beginning to end?
For Full Planning clients, we begin with a thorough budget development session so we have clarity on priorities and investment from day one. From there, we guide you through venue selection, vendor bookings, design development, and timeline creation with your dedicated lead planner beside you at every appointment and every decision. On the wedding day, our full team is on-site, each with a specific role, so the day unfolds exactly as planned.
How involved do we need to be throughout the planning process?
As involved as you want to be. Most of our couples are busy professionals with demanding schedules. Our role is to carry the operational weight of planning so you can make the decisions that are meaningful to you without being buried in logistics. We create the structure. You enjoy the process.
How do you communicate with clients throughout the process?
We use HoneyBook for all primary communication, which keeps everything organized and accessible in one place. You are always welcome to schedule a call; we simply ask for advance notice so we can give you our full attention. We are also happy to connect after hours when needed. Texts are fine for quick questions, but for anything substantive, HoneyBook email is our preference.
Can I upgrade my package after booking?
Absolutely. You can always move up in packages at any time. Many couples start with Wedding Day Management and decide they would love the added support of Full Planning once they realize the scope of what is involved. We make the transition seamless.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Fairy Godmother carries a one-million-dollar liability insurance policy. We can also name your venue as an additionally insured party should they require it.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ couples?
We celebrate all love, always. Every couple who chooses Fairy Godmother is welcomed into our family with the same warmth, care, and commitment to excellence. Full stop.
Do you serve areas outside of Bakersfield?
Yes.
