What does your planning process look like from beginning to end?
Every event we produce begins with a genuine, unhurried conversation in which we seek to understand not simply the logistics of what you are planning, but the experience you wish to create for the people in the room. From there, we develop a clear event concept, establish your budget framework, identify the right venue and vendor partners, and build a comprehensive plan that accounts for every detail of the occasion. On the day itself, our team is entirely on site and overseeing setup, managing vendors, directing every transition, and resolving anything that requires attention so that you may focus entirely on hosting, on your guests, and on enjoying every moment of what we have built together.
How do you communicate throughout the process, and how often can we expect to hear from you?
Consistent, clear communication is one of the cornerstones of how we work. We prefer to conduct all primary communication through HoneyBook, our client management platform, which ensures that every conversation, document, and decision is organised and accessible throughout the entire planning process. You are always welcome to schedule a call with us, and we are happy to accommodate calls in the early evening when your schedule requires it. We respond to all correspondence within one business day and while we are closed on Sundays to honour our time with our families, you will never be left wondering where things stand.
How involved will we need to be throughout the process?
As involved as you wish to be and not a moment more than that. We understand that the clients who come to us are accomplished, busy people with demanding professional lives, and our role is to carry the complexity of the planning process so that you are never burdened by it. You will be consulted on the decisions that matter most to you and kept informed of everything else. What you will not be asked to do is manage the details yourself, and that is precisely what we are here for.
How do you manage vendors and contracts?
We ask that all vendor communication be directed through us wherever possible, and we strongly encourage our clients to copy us on any correspondence they have directly with vendors, so that nothing falls through the gaps. We review every contract on your behalf, maintain copies of all agreements, and carry them with us on the event day in the event that any questions or issues arise. Our vendor relationships have been built over sixteen years, and the professionals we recommend are exceptional; they are people we trust entirely to execute at the standard your event demands.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Fairy Godmother carries a one-million-dollar liability insurance policy. We are also able to name a venue as the additional insured party should the venue require it, and a detail we manage on our clients' behalf without any additional complexity on their part.
Can we upgrade or change our package after we have booked?
Absolutely. You may always move into a higher level of service, and we will make that transition as smooth and uncomplicated as possible. Our goal is for you to have exactly the right level of support for your event and if your needs evolve as the planning process unfolds, we will evolve with them.
Do you work with corporate clients who require confidentiality?
Yes, and we take that responsibility with the utmost seriousness. We have worked with corporate clients whose events require full non-disclosure agreements, and we are entirely comfortable operating within those parameters. Our discretion is one of the qualities our clients value most, and it extends well beyond the events that require formal documentation.
