How Did You Get Started in Photography, and What Drew You to Weddings?
This is a fun story! I shot my first wedding at 16, borrowing my grandmother’s camera. She used it to photograph her pugs, and I loved it so much she encouraged me to save for my own. By 18, I had a conversation with God, asking if weddings were my path. After that, bookings started to flow naturally, and I knew this was my calling.

Can You Share a Little About Your Photography Style and Approach?
I focus on making people feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. My style is timeless with a mix of traditional, playful, and whimsical poses. I love true-to-color photography and aim for a high-end result with a laid-back approach.
What Is Your Favorite Part of Photographing Weddings?
Now that I’m in my 30s, married, and a parent, I see weddings differently. The first dances with parents have become my favorite part—they’re always so meaningful.

How Do You Help Couples Feel Comfortable in Front of the Camera?
I love doing engagement shoots to get to know couples and make them feel at ease. Showing them photos as we go helps build their confidence, and I start with simple poses, gradually moving to more complex ones.

What Is Your Favorite Moment to Capture During a Wedding?
Private vow exchanges are so special to me. There’s no pressure—just the couple in an intimate moment, and I feel privileged to capture it from afar.
What Is the Most Memorable Wedding You’ve Photographed and Why?
One wedding stands out. The groom had stage 4 lung cancer, and they planned everything last minute. Their love and focus on each other was all that mattered. The groom told me he was most excited to marry her. He passed away a few months later, but their love left a lasting impression on me.

What Advice Would You Give Couples When Selecting a Wedding Photographer?
Make sure to screen your photographer thoroughly. Ask to see a full gallery from a real wedding, check if they use dual memory card slots, and ensure they have a solid backup system. While it’s great to like them personally, it’s important to do your homework on their experience and reliability.
Any Special Memories Working Alongside Fairy Godmother Through the Years?
Working with Fairy Godmother for over a decade has been wonderful. You always know what I need without me saying a word, and your team’s ability to pivot in any situation is incredible. One of my favorite memories is having you at my wedding—it brought me such peace knowing you were there.
