Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a mother of two beautiful little girls and a licensed esthetician. I began my journey with Fairy Godmother as an assistant, helping with setup, teardown, and various tasks. I also had the privilege of working closely with Colleen as her assistant. Now, six years later, I am officially an Event Producer, handling full planning responsibilities. I love working with my clients and feel so fortunate to have six years of experience in every aspect of Fairy Godmother. This business, our clients, and our incredible team bring me so much joy.

What made you want to work for Fairy Godmother?

I believe it was all in God’s timing. At the time, I was a stay-at-home mom looking for a profession I would genuinely enjoy. Being a hopeless romantic and a natural planner—I organize all my family’s parties—I was drawn to the wedding industry.

I wasn’t sure if there were wedding planning companies in Bakersfield, so I did some research on Instagram. A few companies came up, but when I saw the name Fairy Godmother, I felt it was meant to be. Cinderella has always been my favorite princess, and the name struck a chord with me. I reached out to Colleen, and within a day, she responded and set up a meeting. I vividly remember walking up to the cottage, blessing myself, and feeling a sense of destiny. The rest is history, and I am forever grateful that Colleen took a chance on me!

What are you most excited about when it comes to planning weddings and working with your clients?

I absolutely love helping people. Seeing my clients’ reactions when they first view their reception site and realizing we’ve brought their vision to life is so special. It’s such a rewarding role to play on one of the most important days of their lives.

What is your favorite part about being a Fairy Godmother?

While I cherish my clients and the wonderful wedding professionals I work with, my favorite part has to be the Fairy team. We’re like one big family, and we always have so much fun together. I love being around such an amazing group of people.

In your own words, what is a Fairy Godmother?

A Fairy Godmother is someone who is understanding, kind, and a problem solver. They anticipate challenges, think ahead, and are always prepared for what might come. They carry themselves with poise and professionalism, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed.
